Uncharted 4’s Main Theme Revealed

While speaking to Official PlayStation Magazine Uncharted 4’s Creative Director, Neil Druckmann, revealed the games main theme. Here’s exactly what Druckmann had to say: “With Uncharted 4, as we were building it we were realizing more and more what the theme is: it’s that balance between pursuing your passions and being with the ones you love, and what happens when you have to choose between those two things. Is there a way to reconcile that? That’s the message of this game, and everything is constructed around that very simple concept.” In summary Uncharted 4’s theme is the struggle between pursuing your passions or being with the person you love, in other words adventure or Elena. I think Elena’s face at the end of the extended E3 demo says it all, take a look.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming to PlayStation 4 on March 18th 2016, if you haven’t already done so you should check out the game’s collector’s editions. The story will revolve around Nathan Drake and his brother Sam hunting down pirate treasure, but it sounds like the story may simply serve as a backdrop to move the games overarching themes forward. If you can’t wait until March 18th to play Uncharted on your PS4 then you can pick up a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on October 7th. However the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta will give you a taste of that game a before March 18th.
