PS3 Unreal Engine Problems Back With Bourne Conspiracy

Gamasutra report that High Moon are yet another developer having some problems working with Unreal Engine 3, and reveal they struggled when developing the PS3 version of the upcoming Bourne Conspiracy. VP of the company Paul O’Connor comments “We needed a lot of support on Unreal to make it run on the PlayStation 3. We got caught in the same crunch as everybody else when [Epic] finalized Gears [Of War], so that definitely slowed down the PS3 support at the time.

From there he goes on to praise his teams effort commenting “But, that being said, the guys have done extraordinary work with the PS3, and it’s just about ready to pipeline.” Finally, regardless of the problems he made sure that praise Epic for their work on the engine. “I don’t want to badmouth Unreal. It’s an awesome toolset. We wouldn’t be where we were if not for Unreal,” he concludes.
