Portal Gun Likely In Lego Dimensions

As we previewed last week, Lego Dimensions is  launching this September. Close inspection of the game’s retail images by fans suggest that characters from Portal, Chima and Scooby Doo will also be included in the Skylanders-style video-game.

Although the image isn’t particularly high resolution, it does give quite a bit away about certain characters and Lego sets that might be included in the game. It also appears to suggest the characters will be released in waves, much like Skylanders, Disney Infinity and amiibo, with four waves in total.

If included, the Chell minifigure is likely to be included with a Portal Gun gadget that will change the usual Lego video-game game play substantially. These additional brands along with the already announced Wizard of Oz, DC, Lord of the Rings, Ninjago, Back to the Future and The Lego Movie make for an impressive offering at launch.

No sign so far of the popular line of Mixels characters, that would make for a nice video-game cross over. Also no news on Star Wars Episode VII, although it seems likely that Disney would reserve this treat for their competing Disney Infinity product.
