Physical Gwent Deck and DLC Trailer-The Witcher 3
Earlier this very day DarkZero brought you some more information on The Witcher 3’s upcoming expansion Hearts of Stone. We informed you that there would, more than likely, be a trailer coming very soon and wouldn’t you know it the kind folk over at CD Projekt Red dropped one such trailer today, along with a boat load of new information. Hearts of Stone will be arriving on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 13th costing you €15, or you could buy the season pass for €25 and get it that way, but wait there’s a third option! Some retailers will be stocking a set containing two decks of Gwent cards along with a code for the expansion for €19.99. Don’t worry if you’ve already dropped €25 on the expansion pass there will be away to buy the cards separately, but that will cost you €9.99. They also provided some screenshots from the expansion which I’ll put in this article.
As for the expansion itself it comes packed full of new stories, monsters, characters and a new system call Runewords, all spread across ten hours. This time Geralt is hired by an immortal bandit captain called Olgierd von Everec. According to the press release “the expansion lets you choose the way you play through an adventure that includes recruiting a crew of break-in artists, spending a night partying with a ghost and outsmarting the most bizarre creatures Geralt has ever faced.” Apparently the Runewords affect the gameplay mechanics in a significant way, allowing you to “experiment with various strategies and tactics.
