XBLA size limit now at 350MB?

GamesIndustry.biz recently conducted an interview with the XBLA Games Portfolio Planner David Edery, and tucked away at the end of the interview his comments seem to indicate the XBLA limit has now been upped to 350MB – a 100MB rise from the previous limit.

When question by GI.biz would they be upping the size of Xbox Live Arcade to 350 megabytes, David Edery responded by saying “Yeah, it’s a steady progress. We’ve been listening to our partners, listening to our customers to try and get a feel for what’s right.

Afterwards he went onto say “We don’t want the size limit to hit the roof because we think there’s some value in promoting small pick and play experiences that don’t cost USD 20 million, it’s good for the ecosystem.

The rise would certainly be helpful to developers, with the likes of Soulcalibur and Street Fighter HD Remix soon to hit the service. More so, it might allow even more devs to release game once to big in size to meet the old requiremnts
