UFC Undisputed 2009 demo next week?

THQ’s upcoming game based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship should see a demo hit XBL and PSN next week, a blog post on MMAJunkie.com indicates.

A tournament was held for a group of UK fighters to see who was the best at the new game, with UFC favourite and current team coach on the latest series of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality TV show – Michael “The Count” Bisping – dominating his opponents with headkicks, before being smashed by one himself by winner Nick Osipczak, who was playing as Rashad Evans – the man responsible for Bisping’s only real-life loss. I bet that made it hurt a whole lot more.

You can read more about the tournament in the above linked article, with the demo mention appearing, quite nonechalantly, at the very end.

With the mixture of submissions and striking that make up any MMA fight, UFC Unleashed 2009 could be an interesting prospect if they recreate some of the slower, technical ground-fighting aspects of the sport in a fun, entertaining manner. Looks like we’ll have a chance to see next week.
