Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 on XBLA next week

Activision has sent out word to confirm Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is set for release on XBLA next week (July 31st). The new date is a bit of a bump from the date announced at E3, but we are happy to get something a bit early, so we won’t complain.

The game will boast co-op options this time round so you and a friend can blast the night away. Furthermore, elements of the game are familiar to Geometry Wars Galaxies which was released on the DS and Wii earlier this year. There’s also hints of Geometry Wars Waves in there to, which was packed in with PGR4 when it was released. A selection of new modes are available too.
