Argos claims 60GB Xbox 360 has been discontinued

Argos are claiming that Microsoft are no longer making the 60GB model of the Xbox 360. According to their website, if you attempt to purchase this model you are told, “We are very sorry but Microsoft have discontinued this line”.

This seems to confirm a report from earlier in the year by a reliable source, which rumoured that Microsoft would be shifting the remaining Pro model 360’s in preparation for a price cut on the 120GB Elite model in early September that would see it replacing the existing 60GB model.

As this source has been spot on about all of their predictions so far, and they also have said that the cheaper PS3 slim is coming soon, we’d suggest to keep your eyes open for an announcement from Sony in the very near future…
