360 outsells PS3 in Japan for September

CNBC report that for the month of September Xbox 360 outsold PlayStation 3 in Japan. This makes it the first time such an occurrence happened in Sony’s home market. According to the site, Microsoft sold 53,547 units of the Xbox 360 in the four weeks to Sept. 28, with PS3 selling 33,071 units. The Wii on the other hand was out on its own in a Toblerone like fashion, selling 109,548 units.

CNBC do not report what games promoted such high sales of the console, but looking a releases lists, the big game to hit the market in September for the Xbox 360 was Infinite Undiscovery, so it should be seen as the main reason for such high sales. A recent price drop probably helped to.
