UK Sales Chart – Week ending 2nd August


It’s nice to see a new game at the number 1 spot, and Namco-Bandai’s tale of souls and swords Soul Calibur IV debuts at the top of the charts.

Not much movement in the chart this week. Aside from Soul Calibur IV, the only new face in the top 20 is the re-entry of New Super Mario Bros. which has experienced a slight resurgence in popularity.

Thankfully, demand for the game-shaped pile of trash that is Wall·E dropped this week, and it fell from 2nd place. This terrible game was getting a bit too close to the top spot for our liking.

Elsewhere in the charts, Kung Fu Panda outsold Smash Bros. Brawl last week, proving that there truly is no justice in the world.
