In the UK, the original Wii Sports was only included as a bundle with the Wii console, so individual sales for that title have never been tracked. However, interestingly enough, the first week sales of the Wii itself are almost identical to the launch sales of Wii Sports Resort.

EA’ Harry Potter film tie-in has a solid fourth week in the charts, with sales only slipping 4% as it slips to No.2. And another EA title at No.3, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 has an equally good fourth week with sales only dipping 3%. The golf sim is the second highest Wii MotionPlus enabled game in the charts.

The two other games that support Wii MotionPlus are also still in the charts, with Sega’s Virtua Tennis 2009 dropping 40% in sales and falling five places to No.13. Lastly, EA’s Grand Slam Tennis is at No.21, being the first MotionPlus game to market having launched seven weeks ago.

The biggest winner this week is Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite, which having disappeared completely from the Top 40 last week, makes at reappearance at No.29. The biggest loser is Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits, falling nine places to no.37
