UK Games buyers show good taste shocker!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the fantastic RPG from Bethesda Soft has beaten the mammoth EA this week, in what is surely a great success for the industry.

EA released its GTA clone with major film licence ‘The Godfather’ on PS2 and Xbox at the same time, but with the smaller installed base of the Xbox 360 (it’s also been released on PC), and relatively unknown licence, the Elder Scrolls has beaten it to number one in the multiformat UK charts, and has even sold out throughout the UK.

With EA having reportedly lost $800 million throughout the production of the Godfather, this must be the final nail in the coffin.
