UK Charts: Haze, Conan, Rock Band do well, Wii Fit falls

Chart-track has put up their listings for Week 21 2008 (week ending 24th May), and as you’d expect GTA IV is once again leading the pack. On its tail is the MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures from Eidos, developed by Funcom which debuted at No2. Chart-track comment that this is the biggest launch for a PC title so far this year, as well as the biggest ever launch for an online-only title outside of the World of Warcraft franchise.

Interestingly, the PS3 exclusive and critically panned Haze came in at No3, which shows that good marketing can sell people shit on a stick. The other noteworthy entry in the top ten was Rock Band on Xbox 360 (the £49.99 disc), which debuts at No6. Apparently three-quarters of all people who purchased that stand-alone game went onto buy the £129.99 instrument bundle.

Finally, Chart-track reveals that due to stock problems Wii Fit slipped all the way out of the All Formats Top 40, down from last week’s No2 position.
