Ubi nab Wheelman distribution rights from Midway

The Wheelman, the upcoming game from Vin Diesel’s Tigon Studios, which has suffered many delays since it was first announced in 2006, will now be distributed by Ubisoft.

“Yes, the deal with Midway has been finalized and we’ll be shipping to retail on March 24th,” said a Ubi spokesperson to Joystiq.

“Ubisoft will handle sales, marketing, and distribution of the title in North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Austria, Ireland and the United Kingdom,” said Ubi in a statement. “Midway will continue to direct the development of the title and retains all future rights to the franchise and will sell the title in all other European territories.”

Don’t expect a review from us that close to the games UK release (March 27th), as Ubisoft don’t answer our emails ever. Dammit Korina.
