Two Of The Spielberg/EA Games Revealed

Under their Newsweek section, MSNBC are reporting that they have got the exclusive on what two of the much talked about EA/Spielberg games will be. According to the site one title is for the Wii and will be a puzzle game and the other is for the PS3 and 360 and have more if an action flair to it. Interestingly, none of the titles have a confirmed names as of yet and just go by nondescript codenames.

The Wii game, currently know as PQRS, is a block building game in the same vein as Jenga. The game will reportedly have the same charm of a Saturday-morning cartoon, whatever that means. It is boasted that the game will run on top of a physics program andwill use the Wii remote as if it were an extension of your hand. Spielberg reports that, “It just seemed like a great thing for the entire family to play together over Christmas. Although you don’t need the excuse of a holiday to enjoy it.

The 360/PS3 game, currently going by the inspired code name LMNO, seems like it is highly inspired by ICO. The two main characters in the game are a woman and a man but you don’t play as the woman in the game at all. You instead take the roll of the man, who is an ex-secret agent, and as you play the game you forge a bond with the woman. As you work your way though the title the woman will then turn out to good or bad and learn special abilities to assist you depending on how you play. The model of the women apparently comes complete with eyes that widen, lips that curl and translucent skin that lights up in different colors to express her quicksilver moods. Spielberg explains that “the challenge is, can the game have an emotional impact on players while they are actively manipulating the world?
