Two New PixelJunk Games Announced

Q Games’ Dylan Cuthbert has announced two brand new games in the PixelJunk series that will be hitting PS3’s PlayStation Network in the future. The games are PixelJunk Eden and PixelJunk Dungeons. They follow on from the recently released PixelJunk Racers and PixelJunk Monsters – the later been the most memorable and critically acclaimed of the series yet. Even we liked it!

PixelJunk Eden will be the next game in the series to be released, and is described as a physics-based title where you collect pollen and birth flowers as a small blob. If that makes little sense to you then a video has appeared on YouTube which may help you figure out what the game is all about – or may even confuse you more. Cuthburt described the game as “kind of like an organic Mario, in a way” – whatever that means.

Regretfully, a lot less is known about PixelJunk Dungeons, as Cuthburt only revealed that the game would be a top-down dungeon crawler. We probably won’t learn much more about the game until Eden edges closer towards release. Both games however will run a 1080p and 60hz as is the norm with PixelJunk titles.
