KOEI TECMO Europe today revealed exciting new combat mechanics and exploration features slated to debut with the upcoming instalment in developer Omega Force’s long-running action franchise, DYNASTY WARRIORS 9. An impressive new trailer released alongside today’s announcement provides a closer look at the beautifully rendered environments and dynamic combat systems that players can look forward to.
Paragon
Today, Epic Games continues to make good on its promise to deliver a new Hero to Paragon every three weeks. Wraith — an elusive ranged attacker — was revealed today, and will be available to play on Tuesday, June 27. Wraith (Intellect, Order) is a graduate of the special operations program Echelon, and was apprenticed to the only other graduate, Kallari. She specialises in assassination, while he specialises in surveillance. A recon specialist, Wraith uses high tech tools to gather intel on his targets and outmaneuver his enemies.

Argo
Argo is an Arma-based hardcore tactical multiplayer first-person shooter, in which players fight as mercenaries over the remnants of a crashed space station. The game features three competitive 5-vs-5 game modes (Clash, Link, and Raid), and based on their performance, players earn experience points, which can be used to unlock new weapons, weapon attachments, and gear. The game also features a 10-player cooperative game mode (Combat Patrol), where players need to team up to fight against AI in an open-world setting. As a bonus, Argo includes a 3D Scenario Editor.

A couple of weeks ago Sega released a behind-the-scenes look at the music of Valkyria Revolution with the legendary composer Mitsuda-san. Well, we’ve got another special video for you today that features Mitsuda-san and the angelic vocalist Sarah Àlainn! Featuring the song “Eternal Rest,” Sarah discusses how she channeled her inner reaper in order to create a musical requiem for the casualties of war. This hauntingly beautiful song sounds uplifting at first, but its English and Latin lyrics convey a message of death. War is hell and it’s an appropriate theme for the armed conflict between the Kingdom of Jutland and Ruzi Empire.
