The Reason Why Sonic Sucked – Believe!

It is not normal in this day and age for a developer to come out and apologies for an under performing game but in seems the almost universal hatred of the 360 release of Sonic The Hedgehog has resulted in a response from Sonic Team. In fact it is the games producer Yojiro Ogawa that has chosen to speak out and has claimed that the intense workload that came from his team trying to create two next-gen versions of the game lead to the title’s lack of quality. This info comes from a interview Ogawa did with Kikizo.

The reason why probably ended up with what we see today, involves a lot of reasons,” he began. “One is that we did want to launch the title around Christmas, and we had the PS3 launch coming up, but we had to develop for Microsoft’s 360 at the same time and the team had an awful lot of pressure on them. It was very hard for the team to try and see how we were going to come out with both versions together with just the one team. It was a big challenge.” he concluded.
