Telltale doing a new season for the much-maligned Game of Thrones

Remember Tales of The Borderlands? That was a pretty good series. Why not read Gabrielle’s review of the first season? Thinking back to 2013, The Wolf Among Us was a pretty good series too – here is what Dominic said. The two seasons of The Walking Dead were solid too. Dominic said these two separate things – although when all was said and done one was certainly better than the other. Minecraft is finding some fans too – like Ruben.

Game of Thrones was not as well received as many of these games. Jorge had a hell of a lot to say over the past year – Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5. Whilst it started out decent, it grew to be highly unlikeable. It felt untidy, unexciting, and could even be classed as a cheap cash-in on the show.

Good news everyone! A Season Two of Game of Thrones is now confirmed.

Telltale studio boss and company co-founder Kevin Bruner had this to say to The Hollywood Reporter

When we initially announced the series in 2013, we let everyone know this would be a multi-title, multiyear partnership with HBO. After this week’s finale, I’m pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series, and that it’s currently in development.

The questions left on the table at the conclusion of season one, who survived and who didn’t, as well as all the other choices you made play a huge role in the second season. We’ve been planning the second season all along, but I really shouldn’t be revealing more than that.

When pressed for further details Bruner did not want to elaborate, and did not comment on how development is progressing on this second season. The Hollywood Reporter also failed to get any info about possible follow ups to the likes of Tales from The Borderland and The Wolf Among Us – also known as games a lot of people like. Dammit man, you had one job!
