Take-Two choose to sue over Duke Nukem delays
Oh no! It looks like things are now getting nasty with the Duke Nukem Forever situation, as Take-Two have chosen to sue Apogee Software’s 3D Realms because of what they allege to be multiple failures during the course of the game’s development.
“Apogee continually delayed the completion date for the Duke Nukem Forever,” Take-Two state in the complaint.
“Apogee repeatedly assured Take-Two and the video-gaming community that it was diligently working toward competing development of the PC Version of the Duke Nukem Forever,” they continue
Take-Two is said to have paid Apogee $12 million for publishing rights to the game back in 2000, with a second deal done in 2007. However, as we all know, no game materialized, and funding recently ran out for 3D Realms resulting in their closure.
