Super Meat Boy PlayStation Release Date and PS Plus

The release date for the critically acclaimed Super Meat Boy on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita has probably been set for October 6th according to a listing on PlayStation’s website which was spotted by GameSpot. It was previously announced that Super Meat Boy would be free at launch for PlayStation Plus members, so by default that means it will be one of October’s free PS Plus games. It also means that next month’s PS Plus line-up will probably launch on October 6th  to coincide with the release of the game. Super Meat Boy has never made an appearance on a PlayStation platform before but it looks like that will change.

In Super Meat Boy players must use split second timing and good judgement to navigate obstacles and hazards in over 300 levels. You play as a small red block named Meat Boy who is trying to reach the end of each level. You can check out DarkZero’s review of the Xbox 360 version of Super Meat Boy here to see what it’s all about and if it’s any good. Keep in mind the release date is not official yet, but it’s more than likely true and will probably appear in next month’s PS Plus line-up. If you haven’t already claimed you free games for September check them out here, but remember Twisted Metal isn’t showing up on PS4.
