Super Mario RPG finally comes to Europe on Virtual Console

Hanabi Festival on the Wii’s Virtual Console. European Wii owners with access to the Wii Shop Channel and enough spending money will be able to play titles from the US and Japan that were previously unreleased in the PAL region.

Among the promised games is the return of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, the ‘true’ sequel to Super Mario Bros which was only temporarily available during the first Hanabi Festival. It will now be permanently available.

Also of interest is Super Mario RPG for the SNES, which is rumoured to be getting a DS sequel. Hanabi Festival downloads are slightly more expensive than other games on the same platform, usually only by 100 or 200 Wii points. The full list of upcoming Hanabi Festival 3 titles is as follows:
