Stargate SG1 Game Fails To Rematerialize

Preliminary reports from an administrator on the official forums for the PC game Stargate SG-1 The Alliance indicate that the troubled game has been canceled for good. Back in August, publisher JoWood severed its contract with the Australian developer Perception, citing significant quality issues and an overall loss of confidence in the developer. Perception shot back soon after the announcement, calling the statements libelous, and insisted that the game will still be released.

That doesn’t seem to be the case any longer. “It pains me to say this but unfortunately Stargate SG-1 The Alliance has been canceled,” posted official Alliance forum administrator “I should point out I originally wasn’t going to post about it… Given that is now ‘on the net’ so to speak, I thought it best the people of the official site know rather than reading it elsewhere and wondering why it wasn’t mentioned here,” he wrote.
