Starbreeze going Free To Play with next effort, Cold Mercury
Starbreeze has been dealing with remakes and licensed content for almost 10 years, but it looks like they are now working on something brand new and completely unique. It’s name is Cold Mercury, and it will be a Free To Play game.

“Starbreeze will not leave the AAA segment,” said CEO Mikel Nermark.
Nermark goes onto comment on the future of Starbreeze as a whole.
“We are discussing with several leading game publisher on publisher financed games, but we will broaden our product portfolio of games in the new business models and segments that have arisen in the games industry. I am convinced that Starbreeze will be successful with the new games.”
No platform mentioned for Cold Mercury as of yet, although thier last two efforts were released over a mix of PS3, 360 and PC.
