Splinter Cell: Conviction set for late 2009 release

Splinter Cell: Conviction, a game which was initially set for release back in late 2007, is now set for release this “holiday season” on Xbox 360 according to Ubisoft. The news comes direct from the publisher during their full-year financial results which they announced today.

During the course of 2007, the game was played by many journalists and many previews were written at that point, but then a delay struck. The game is now likely to be a much different beast than it was back then, with rumours that it was completely redesigned from the ground up.

E3 is likely to be when we see what Splinter Cell: Conviction circa 2009 will look like.
