Smash Bros Revolution Director Revealed

Back in E3, a sequel to one of the Gamecube’s best selling games was announced. Super smash Bros Revolution was used as an example of what to expect with the Nintendo Wi-Fi service.

While it has been revealed that production hadn’t started at the time, it started very shortly after. Masahiro Sakurai was called into Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata’s office and despite having left HAL Laboratories to create his own company (Sora), was asked to direct the new beat-em-up because of his close involvement with past titles in the highly successful franchise.

Despite such a late starting date, the title is still expected to make the Nintendo Revolution launch.
