Skate 2 set for a January 2009 release

IGN report that they recently got their hands on retail boxed copies of Mirror’s Edge – lucky them! However, no matter how lovely that is, it seems the box had another little surprise. That surprise being an advert on the Mirror’s Edge manual that reveals that Skate 2 will hit in “January 2009”

If that is not official enough for you, then IGN went onto check with EA, and they confirmed to the site that January 2009 release month is accurate, but would not get any more specific.

Skate 2 is the sequel to the 2007 game, Skate. It made the Tony Hawk games look rather crap in comparison, so we gave it an 8.5 in our review. We don’t do decimals any more though, and no, we won’t say if it would have been a 8 or 9!
