It has been announced that Platinum Games, which is comprised of several key staff from Clover studios has penned a three-game deal with Sega. Shinji Mikami, Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya are all part of the burgeoning studio, with games like Viewtiful Joe, Ōkami and God Hand emblazoned as part of their impressive CV’s. Suffice to say we’ll certainly sit up at take notice of these upcoming titles.

Number one on the list is Bayonetta, which is directed by Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya. It is described as a “stylish action game” which sees “a witch battling angels” with guns on her feet. To be honest anything with a witch battling angels is great in our opinion, so we are psyched. No platform for this title is known as of yet.

Next is a science-fiction RPG for the DS called Infinite Line which is puts you in the shoes of a starship captain, and letting you customise your ship and crew. We really can’t wait to shout “Engage” and “They’re are four lights” at our DS.

Finally is Mad World for the Wii, which is a game comprised of “Black and white Sin City graphics” with “Ultra, ultra violent” gameplay. I guess that’s cool too!
