Sega officially bringing Let’s Tap to Europe
Sega have officially announced that Let’s Tap, the Yuji Naka developed game you play with a box, is on the way to Europe and North American. If this is the first you’ve heard of it, then will may shock, surprise and amaze you that you play the game putting a Wiimote on a box, and tapping it. This simple method of control then lets you play 5 septate minigames contianed on the disc. The more interesting ones being Tap Runner (where you Tap to make a little guy run, and win a race) and Rhythm Tap (a rhythm game in the same vein as Donkey Konga).
“Let’s Tap offers a new and innovative way of playing on the Wii which only a video game legend such as Naka-san could have ever possibly imagined” Commented Gary Knight, European Marketing Director SEGA Europe. “It’s such a simple yet genius concept and still easy to pick up and play, everyone will be tapping away before you know it!”
We jumped the gun a bit, and reviewed the Japanese version of the game a few weeks ago, giving it a 7 out of 10. No word yet on if the music in Rhythm Tap will be ruined with crap western songs, which was our main fear when we wondered about a possible Euro release in our review.
