Rolando gets another price cut, free extra levels soon
Charming tilt-controlled iPhone game Rolando has already had one price cut, dropping from £5.99 to £3.49, so this second drop in price to just £2.99 isn’t a huge one, but is better than a kick in the teeth.
Considering we gave Rolando a 9/10 in our review back when it cost £5.99, now that it is half that price it technically deserves an 18/10 score. Add to that the news that the developers of Rolando are shortly releasing some free additional levels to the game, and we may be looking at DarkZero’s first 20/10 title.
What I’m trying to say is that if you own an iPhone then you should get this game. If you need anymore persuasion then you can play the free trial Rolando Lite to get a taster of the full package.
Publisher ngmoco has also revealed that their team is already working on a sequel, which suggests that the original game has been financially successful. Hopefully this will spur on more developers to create quality original games for the iphone.
In the meantime you could check out some of the other decent iPhone games on offer.
