Quake Arena Coming To XBLA

At Quake-Con id Software has announced that they will be brining Quake Arena to Xbox Live Arcade. The game will be based on the popular Quake 3 Arena FPS, which was all the rage during 1999, and will go by the name Quake Arena Arcade. The title is being developed by Pi Studios, who are best known for developing Call of Duty: United Offensive. The studio also worked on Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and COD 3 which they developed jointly with Treyarch.

It is currently unknown how much of the old game, such as the addition of bots, will make it into the XBLA release or if the AI, graphics and soundtrack will remain the game or get an upgrade.
