EU PSP Price-Cut & Platinum Games Announced

Sony has announced today that have made an official price drop to the price of a PSP by confirming a new price of £129.99 (€169.99) for the handheld. This is £20 off the old RRP of £149.99 (€199.99), alongside this they have announced a new Platinum range of games will be released on Friday May 4th. The new £14.99 (€19.99) Platinum titles include big name franchises Ridge Racer 2, Tekken, Killzone, Loco Roco and Moto GP.

PSP is unique and is constantly evolving. It offers the widest palette of mobile entertainment, from gaming to video, music, photos and internet,” said SCE UK managing director Ray Maguire. “But now the exciting possibility of connecting remotely to PS3 makes PSP more relevant than ever. So what better time to offer a brand new price point, and the launch of five new Platinum titles?

The PSP saw a similar price cut in the US earlier this month when it was reduced by $30 to hit $169.99.
