PS3 Getting Backwards Compatible Again For 80GB

Sony certainly likes to confuse, and apparently after removing backwards compatibility from some of the older PS3 models (we can’t remember which due to the confusion) they will be reintegrating it again for the PS3 that makes up part of the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle. The news comes from the comments section of the official Sony blog where one of the staff reveals “Yes, similar to the Motorstorm bundle, the new MGS4 bundle features an 80GB PS3 with some PS2 backwards compatibility.”

However, if you are happy about this it would be best to settle down a bit, as this has not been confirmed for the Euro bundle yet. In fact, we regretfully don’t even have a MGS4 release date yet.

Expect more confusion to follow, but we will try to make sense of it for you!
