PS Plus Games for September

Sony have just announced the PS Plus instant game collection for September 2015 so let’s get straight to the good stuff. I won’t make you wait in anticipation to see what’s coming up this month so here is: Grow Home, Super Time Force Ultra, Twisted Metal, Teslagrad, La-Mulana EX and rounding off the list is Xeodrifter. Read on to see what each games about and what consoles they’ll be available on.

Grow Home

Starting off the list is the winner of PlayStation Plus Vote to Play Grow Home which will only be playable on PS4. This game is brought to you by Ubisoft’s Reflections and features a tiny robot named BUD as he tries to make his way back to his mothership in an effort to re-oxygenate his home planet. BUD uses a new type of flora he discovered called Star Plant to help himself navigate the games open world and reach his ship.

STFU

Next up by the developers at Capybara Games is Super Time Force Ultra which will be available on both PS4 and PS Vita. This is an action packed, time-travelling platformer with lots of explosive fun. Making a guest appearance in the game as a playable character is none other than head of PlayStation Shuhei Yoshida.

Twisted Metal

It’s nice to know Sony hasn’t forgotten about the PS3 yet and is in fact supporting it with a triple-A title this month in the form of Twisted Metal. This game needs no introduction to fans of PlaysStation but what you should know is you’ll be able to enjoy a cinematic single player experience, but if that’s not your cup of tea then there’s also a variety of multiplayer modes to cause mayhem in.

teslagrad

Teslagrad is cross buy between PS3 and PS4. This is a 2D puzzle-platformer in which the player is tasked with discovering the secrets of a long abandoned Tesla Tower via the use of electromagnetic powers. The playable character is a young boy caught up in a conspiracy involving a corrupt king.

La-Mulana EX

Fifth on the list is La-Mulana EX which is only coming to the PS Vita. This is another 2D adventure-platformer which takes the player deep into abandoned ruins on a quest to discover the secret to life itself. Get ready to fight monsters, defeat bosses, uncover clues and more, but beware nobody who has entered the ruins before has ever come back out.

xeodrifter

Lastly, brought to you by Renegade Kid, is Xeodrifter which is coming to both PS4 and PS Vita. This is an action-adventure game in which you play as an astronaut whose ship has been damaged. You must visit nearby planets in an attempt to repair it. This game looks similar to the Mega Man series as you jump and shoot your way through a level only to end up in a face-off with a deadly boss.

That is that for Septembers PS Plus line-up which will be available on the 1st of the month, alongside the launch of Metal Gear Solid V and the new Mad Max game. If you didn’t know throughout August Sony held a Vote to Play feature for PS Plus users, which allowed subscribers to vote on one game that would appear in Septembers Plus line-up. The three games people could vote for were Armello, Grow Home and Zombie Vikings. Obviously Grow Home won but don’t worry if the game you voted for didn’t win because it will still appear on the PS Store come September 1st along with a 30% PS Plus exclusive discount. Sony have stated that Vote to Play will not be a monthly feature on PS Plus but it will be held at intervals throughout the year.

Lastly if you haven’t already claimed your PS Plus titles for the month of August make sure you do so by the 31st or else it will be too late. The August line-up featured Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (PS4), Limbo (PS4), God of War: Ascension (PS3), Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones (PS3, PS4, PS Vita), Castlestorm Complete Edition (PS3, PS Vita) and lastly the excellent Sound Shapes (PS3, PS4, PS Vita).
