President-elect Barack Obama owns a Wii

The New York Times report that President-elect Barack Obama is a bit of a gamer, and while sorting things before finally taking the position of US President he finds the time to play some Wii Bowling.

Mr. Obama said he’d have his hands full attempting to rescue the American economy. But he has gotten in a little practice in bowling lately on the Nintendo Wii his daughters received for Christmas. Mr. Obama, who famously struggled in bowling during last year’s Democratic primaries, said he performs better in the video game, “comments the NYT article.

This seems to be a big change of tune from last year, as back then he used gamers as a metaphor for underachievement. “We’re going to have to parent better, and turn off the television set, and put the video games away, and instil a sense of excellence in our children, and that’s going to take some time,” he commented in February of 2008.

So, with him taking this new stance, we would like to take the chance to reccomed Boom Blox and Zack and Wiki to Mr. Obama, as just like David and Victoria Beckham, we know he loves reading DarkZero.
