Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Hits Handhelds Today

Nintendo have today announced that the first Pokemon game where you get to play as the Pokemon themselves has just being release across Europe. They hope this will be the first of many titles to whip gamers into a Pokémon frenzy in the lead up the much anticipated release of Diamond and Pearl later next year. Blue Rescue Team launches on the Nintendo DS and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team makes its way onto the Game Boy Advance across Europe today.

Mysteriously transformed overnight, the player awakes to find themselves in the guise of one of 16 different Pokémon, automatically selected based on the answers provided to a series of personality based questions. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is one of the biggest Pokémon adventures to date. With over 380 Pokémon available to meet during the adventure there are hours of gameplay to keep the most hardcore player entertained in the main adventure mode. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon also features a newly discovered creature, Munchlax, which the most dedicated and lucky player might get to meet.
