Obsidian doing new Fallout game, coming 2010

It has been revealed that Obsidian, the guys behind the 2004 release of Star Wars: KOTOR II, Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansion packs, and the upcoming Alpha Protocol to be published by Sega, will be working on a new game based in the Fallout universe. The game will go by the name Fallout: New Vegas.

Not all that much is known about the game as of yet, but judging by the name alone it is likely to be built around a Las Vegas setting, during that familiar post-apocalyptic time period the rest of the series is set in. We would not expect many casinos to be still going then!

The game is not expect to release until 2010 at the earliest – could be early, late, or mid as no one is giving solid info on that. PS3, 360, and PC versions are planned.
