Nintendo Wii drops to $129.99 – packaged with two free games

Six years removed from the Nintendo Wii’s launch in 2006, the system’s remarkable resiliency is only slowing down with the release of the Wii U a few short weeks away. The little system that could, however, is receiving yet another price break in order to keep up with big brother.

Starting today, you can purchase the Wii for $129.99, and the bundle package comes with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. Nintendo’s also included a Wii Remote Plus and a Nunchuk controller, peripherals that will work with the Wii U when it’s released later next month. The bundle hasn’t been announced for anywhere outside the US, but, if Nintendo’s previous price reductions are any indication, we can expect a similar price announcement sometime in the near future for other regions.

More information as we get it.
