New Witcher 3 DLC Info

Marcin Momot, Community Manager at CD Projekt Red, has taken to his Twitter account to answer some fan questions on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s upcoming, paided for, DLC. Let’s do a quick recap on what we know so far. The DLC is called Hearts of Stone and it’s coming in October. It will cost €15 or you can purchase it along with next year’s expansion, Blood and Wine, in a season pass for €25. We know there will be around ten hours of new story content set across No Man’s Land, the streets of Oxenfurt and other places as Geralt searches for the mysterious Man of Glass. The last thing we know is that in recently released promo art Geralt had his hands tied up so presumably he will be captured by an enemy, or maybe he’s trying out something new with Yennefer or Triss in the new romance expanding patch.

Alright so what has CD Project Reds community manager told us? Well firstly the most exciting thing is we can expect a trailer very soon, maybe even today. He also informed fans that quests in the DLC will start at level 30, here’s what he said “You can play it after/during the main story. The HoS quests will be level 30+ through.” That also confirms that the games level cap will be raised, although it doesn’t specify by how much. He then went on to inform fans that the quests in the DLC will scale up for new game plus, “Quests in HoS will scale up for NG+, yes,” so expect some challenging encounters. He also talked about The Witcher 3 receiving a sizeable patch in the near future, so perhaps that might raise the level cap before the DLC arrives or maybe it will concentrate on none DLC related issues. Keep an eye on Marcin Momot’s Twitter for any new information here.
