Mozilla gaining ground in the browsing industry.

OneStat.com has reported that there has been a drop in the amount of users using Internet Explorer. This seems to have been caused by the release of Mozilla’s new rival, Firefox 1.0 on the 9th November.

IE’s market share has fallen 5% since March this year to about 89.9%, while Mozilla’s browsers have gained 5%.

Mozilla browsers – including Firefox 1.0 – now have 7.4% of the market share, as suggested by the figures.

The survey was carried out on 2 million Internet users from 100 different countries by OneStat.com.
