Microsoft giving away one million Microsoft Points in Japan

Microsoft loves its Japanese audience it seems, and to celebrate they have revealed they will be giving away one million Microsoft Points as a thank you for the support they had in the region over the last 7 years. We are not 100% sure on how this will work, and if the points will be giving out in some competition, or possibly more fairly distributed, but never the less one million is not to be sniffed at.

Furthermore, as another small thank you, the company will be offering a free dashboard theme download for all user in Japan. If you make a Japanese account you could probably grab that for yourself if you think it is worth your time and effort.
