Microsoft confirm Resi 5 bundle along with red 360 – UPDATE: UK release confirmed

Engadget have got their cameras out, and snapped a photo of a red 360 that has just popped up on the US arm Xbox Live premoting the launch of Resident Evil 5 along with a spiffy 360 adorned with bright red colouring.

Recent musings in the US report that the console will sell for $399. The pack includes and Elite 360 with all the necessary cables, along with that you get a free copy of Resident Evil 5, a free copy of SFIIHDR, and a free premium theme to make your dashboard look pretty.

We’ve looked through our [European] Xbox Live, and at the time of writing cannot see a similar link showing up, so it is still questionable if we’ll see the bundle over on this side of the pad.

Maybe we should email MS and ask. Yes, we’ll do that, and get back to you if they get back to us.

Microsoft have now confirmed that this bundle will be getting a UK release, and that along with the above pack-ins, the deal also comes with a stylish black wired headset. Major Nelson has also confirmed on his blog that this special edition Xbox 360 will sell for the same price as the standard Elite console does in the US ($399), making it almost certain that we’ll see the same great value offer here.

Supplies will understandably be VERY limited, so as soon as you find out what retailers are selling it, you might want to get your pre-orders in quick. MS also released this nice offical promo picture of the blood-red 360.
