Mass Effect 3 N7

Mass Effect 3 has problems with cloud saves, hopefully you did not use those

Just as Mass Effect 3 is coming out (in the US), and ahead of the Euro launch (this Friday), Bioware and EA has confirmed that Xbox 360 gamers, who have made use of the console’s recently implemented Cloud Save feature, could face two annoyances that could cause problems whilst trying to get the most out of Mass Effect 3.

The first being that ME3 will not allow the import of a Mass Effect 2 save direct from the cloud, meaning if you have your ME2 save uploaded the game will not recognize your decisions from the end of that game. The fix for this is easy though, just access the save and redownload it back onto your hard drive.

The second problem, and perhaps the more annoying one, is that a ME2 save file that was moved from one 360 to another via the cloud save feature will not be able to be read by ME3. For people with problems, EA have created a guide, but sadly there is no real fix if you are hit with the second scenario – and are unable to access the original hard drive you first saved ME2 on.

We understand this may be a great setback to those impacted who have been following the Mass Effect franchise over the years,” EA said in a statement. “We thank you for your patience.”
