Majesco reimagining Boy and his Blob for Wii
I am not sure if that many people remember Boy and his Blob on the NES. I recall receiving it as a present in the 90’s, and I also remember initially disliking the game, as I though it would be a platformer. Things changed though, as I eneded up liking it as I started to enjoy the puzzle elements. I also remember the boy falling and dying a lot for some reason – probably me sucking at the game.
Regardless, the game never stood out to many as a classic, so it is interesting to see Majesco and WayForward have chose to bring it back, with both the boy and his blob having a new adventure on the WIi.
As you can see by the image above, the game will boast a new hand-drawn look, with ” painted animation technology” – whatever the hell that is. The gameplay will stay the same though, with you feeding beans to your blob to transform him into helpful objects – such as a ladder, a trampoline, and a parachute – to work your way though various areas.
“When a boy and his blob first appeared in 1989, it captured the imagination of gamers everywhere with its heartwarming storyline and unique gameplay,” said Majesco’s Gui Karyo.
“Twenty years later, we are proud to bring an updated – yet still charming – reimagining of this beloved title to a new generation of Wii players.”
The game is expect to release this fall autumn.
