Lego Dimensions Trailer Expands Back to the Future Adventure

Although there’s still no official word on Portal, The Simpsons, Jurassic World or Doctor Who for Lego Dimensions, the latest trailer adds some characters the internet hadn’t already guessed.

The trailer, which depicts Doc Brown (played by Christopher Lloyd both in the films and here) opening a mystery package. Of course, inside is a Lego Dimensions Starter Pack of sorts. We then see the Doc (rather than The Doctor) assembling the kit to beam his Doc Brown mini-figure into the game.

It’s a neat bit of marketing and one can imagine a similar video starting Peter Capaldi constructing a similar package with his Sonic Screwdriver, or maybe Homer Simpson in cartoon form bashing bits of Lego together until they fit.

The trailer goes on to reveal additional DC Comics characters like Aquaman, Superman and Bane along with some more Ninjago warriors. The line-up of Lego Dimensions really is getting rather large. This is both tempting and potentially expensive.

The real challenge for TT Games is to make something coherent around these rather exciting disparate parts.
