Konami announce Rock Revolution

After remembering they have access to the DrumMania and Guitar Freaks brands, and more or less started the whole genre long before anyone else took notice, Konami have announced Rock Revolution. The game is set to hit the 360, PS3, Wii, DS.

The 360 and PS3 versions will let players use Guitar and Drum peripherals to play the game, but there will be no options for singing. However, the DS version will have options for singing (through the DS mic), but will not have peripherals and use the touch screen to play the notes to songs. The Wii version will be completely Wiimote control based.

No songs have being 100% confirmed for the game by Konami yet, but if you dig around the internet many site are reporting a selection of different songs they got access to at Konami’s Gamer’s Day. They are:

Chop Suey | All My Life | Falling Away From You | Last Resort | Somebody Told Me | Dance, Dance | Dr. Feelgood | Run to the Hills | Won’t Get Fooled Again | Blitzkrieg Bop | Detroit Rock City | We’re Not Gonna Take It | All The Small Things | Sk8r Boi | Magic Man | Round and Round | Walk | Cum On Feel The Noize | Spoonman | Still of the Night | Knights of Cydonia | Paralyzer | Am I Evil

Gametrailers have also put up a debut trailer for the game which showcases a few of these songs.
