Key staff members leave Retro Studios

Shacknews reports that Retro Studios, a developer best know for their work on Metroid, Metroid, and some more Metroid has reportedly seen several staff members leave the company. Design director Mark Pacini, art director Todd Keller, and principal technology engineer Jack Mathews are allegedly the names that have up and left.

With their talent all three are likely to move on to pastures new (possibly brand new, with the likelihood of the three guys forming a new development studio very high). Even with these key staff members leaving Retro Studios is apparently not in danger of closing.

Speaking of Retro Studios, we still wish Raven Blade got released. It looked really cool. Big swords are always cool though! I still have a VHS tape that came with some magazine that has video of the game on it! Now that’s retro!
