Jump Super Stars Info And Character List

Jump Super Stars is released on the 8th August 2005 in Japan. Coincided to release with it is a new colour (red) variation of the Nintendo DS.

The game is a collaboration between Jump magazine and Nintendo to bring characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Ho, EyeShield 21 and many other Jump manga series to the Nintendo DS in an all action, one on one fighting game. Set to feature more than 150 characters from 27 different Japanese Jump anime/manga properties. The game will use the dual-screen and touch panel functionality of the DS system to its full extent, offering a game of unrivalled, fun and quality.

The game is set to feature many surprises, one of which will be the ability to cut out special charts from editions of Jump Magazine. Placing these cut outs on the touch screen and tracing around them with your stylus will unlock hidden characters and other surprises in the game.

Game play will revolve around one on one fighting, using all the moves at the characters disposal. The characters will also have the ability to call upon help from other characters from their own Jump series, to carry out certain attacks. This is done by selecting the characters from the bottom screen. The Help characters will not be user controllable, on only on screen whilst they carry out their attack, or booted out by your opponent.

A full list of characters is listed below (There is still others to be confirmed as well as a few to unlock) but as you can see there is plenty of choice, and shows why the game is set to be the biggest release on the DS so far, with the highest initial shipment of any DS game to date and pre-orders exceeding that of any DS game on the market in Japan (Beating out even our very own Mario and the rather delectable Nintendogs)
