Iwata looking to change Nintendo’s online model

In a chat with GameDaily Satoru Iwata has admitted that many of Nintendo’s restrictions on their current online model are far from perfect for some gamers, and could be changed in the future. He goes on to say that the company “will be studying this on an ongoing basis” with hopes to improve the service in the future, but wants the service to remain free from the harassment seen on other platforms so gamers can “freely and safely enjoy the communications through the net.

“I don’t think the current system we have with friend codes is perfect,” he remarks in the interview. “However, if it’s an online world where you can get access to anybody without any restrictions, I as a father do not feel like allowing my daughter be engaged in that kind of world.
