How Much Space Will Fallout 4 Take Up?

The Xbox One’s product page tells us Fallout 4 will take up a little over 28GB of hard drive space, presumably it will be in or around the same size on PS4. With still over a month to go until the games November 10th release date that size could increase or decrease, there’s also the possibility of a day one patch that would increase the size of the game. All in all that certainly isn’t too bad a size for a current-gen game considering plenty of games have been over 40GB, for an open-world comparison The Witcher 3 launched at 35GB on PS4.

What’s more impressive is the fact that Bethesda have managed to squeeze a huge open-world, loads of optional activities and more recorded dialogue than they’ve ever done before into that amount of memory. However I’d imagine when the dust finally settles on Fallout 4 and it’s fully patched with all of its season pass DLC released we could be looking at a 40-45GB game, maybe even more. Then there’s mods to consider which will be available on consoles for the first time and will surely take up a fair bit of space for those that choose to indulge in them.
